As of May 2026, funding is in place for two additional water treatment plants in Nakivale. Each plant is designed to deliver a 20-liter jerry can of clean water daily to 500 households.
The plants build on UCF’s prototype, whose water was earlier validated at zero pathogens by Ugandan Government pathology laboratories. The work is carried out with partners UNHCR and Nsamizi.
